Where these the hands
whose tender touch
whispered of eternal paradise,
that now sting with the fury of hell fire?

Were these the hands
that would caress and smooth away

every line of lifeís care,

that now etch eternal scars in to my skin?

Where these the hands

that cupped our new born,

giving sanctuary and comfort,

that now shatter its motherís soul?

Were these the hands

Whose fingers wove our future,

with long strings of hope,

that are now webbed with strands of torn hair?

Were these the hands,

that are now the claws,

which once bound together,

that now shred asunder?
